CHAPTER ONE
THE FOUR DOCTRINES OF BEYISM BEYONCE MASS
If you want to understand Beyonce Mass or Beyism, it is very simple. Beyonce Mass or Beyism is a religious edifice based on four pillars.
The first pillar is that Human life faces the same alternatives that confront all other forms of life—of adapting itself to the conditions under which it must live or becoming extinct.
The second pillar is that the most essential thing in the world to any individual is to understand himself or herself. So as to improve and adapt.
The third pillar for the person is to understand the other fellow, and another fellow and another. For life is largely a problem of running your own car as it was built to be run, plus getting along with the other drivers on the highway. In this way a community is formed.
The fourth pillar is that the greatest problem facing any organism is successful reaction to its environment. Environment, speaking scientifically, is the sum total of your experiences. This means fitting vocationally, socially and romantically into the place where you are.
If you don't fit, you must move or change your environment to fit you. If you can't change the environment and you won't move you will become a failure, just as tropical plants fail when transplanted to the Nevada desert.
So those are the four doctrines of Beyism. Beyism is a religion that integrates all religions of the world, in the process creating and building an adaptive religion that seeks to improves us to live young and not grow old by used of advanced ancient and modern medicine living forever young and not dying is something that can be achieved in this very life.
So how was Beyism developed over time? Beyonce being a billion-dollar global star and icon when she is not active composing songs or performing across the world, in China, Japan, Germany, Africa and across North America will sit down and meditate.
It was through those moments of deep silence and intense internal focus that Beyonce deeply connected with the Universal creator and communed with angelic spirits.
God is all there is. God created all of us by extending the one formless spirit self to us. We are part of God and cannot separate from God.
I am over here, and you are over there, so we seem separated from each other. What harms me and gives me pain does not harm you and give you pain. So, we seem separated from each other and are no longer unified with each other and no longer unified with God.
In God we are one shared self with one shared mind and there is no body, matter, space and time to separate us but now we live in bodies, space and time and seem separated from each other and from God.
I have my self-interests and you have your self-interests; each of us pursues his self-interests. In pursuits of our perceived self-interests, we do fight each other. Thus, the earth is a place of conflicts and wars.
We separate into groups (Black people and White people, men and women etc.) and each sees itself as different and fights the other, and within each group each person sees his self as different from others and fights them. This is our world, a place of war.
We need healing, a balm that will not make us one, but create peace among each other and so we Rejoice in our diversity, diverse opinions, diverse lifestyles, diverse skin colors, diverse sex orientation and diversity tastes and likes.
CHAPTER TWO
BEYONCE MORAL, PHILOSOPHICAL AND RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND
Beyonce Mass, as the fastest growing religion and church across the world is not a Beyonce worship, but it articulates the universal ideals that Beyonce holds dear, and being the top most global icon and one of the greatest global celebrities, she commands powerful influence.
It is therefore necessary and imperative that before we delve on this new religion that is catching the world like wild fire, we look at the philosophical and religious ideals of Beyonce.
Quietly, away from music concerts, music festivals and dance, Beyonce have been systematically studying Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Spinoza, Leibnitz, Hume, Berkeley, Hobbes, Locke, Bentham, Mill, Adam Smith, Pascal, Voltaire, Rousseau, Bergson, William James, Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer, Karl Marx, Nietzsche, Feuerbach, Buddha, Confucius, Shankara, Freud, Adler, Jung etc.
She did systematic study of Catholicism and Christianity.
She read up on the activities of the founding fathers of Christianity and who is who in Christianity, from Origen to Athancous, Saint Augustine, Ambrose, Meister Eckhart, Saint John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, Erasmus, Ignatius Loyola, Martin Luther, John Calvin.
As for the Bible itself, she had read it several times as a child, the Bible was a must in her family.
As an adult and global celebrity move up and down the world in top luxury hotels performing music to millions and billions of people, she relaxed and took breaks by re-reading the Bible.
She began in Genesis and read it all the way to Revelation.
She went to oriental religions. In Los Angeles where she resides, she visited the Hindu Temple and attended Sunday services and midweek lectures on the Gospel of Ramakrishna and the writings of Vivekananda.
She read up on every aspect of Hinduism: the Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Patanjali’s Yogas, you name it I read it.
She found Hinduism interesting and took from its theology that there is God called Brahman and that he extended to a part called Atman and that Atman and Brahman are the same, that Atman went to sleep and dream our world and deliberately forgot that he is God and set for his self the task of remembering his real self.
For him to break through Maya, ignorance, in Moksha and awaken to the knowledge of his true self, in Samadhi. She practiced meditation. She felt great feeling from the peace of mind and body given to me by the different kinds of yoga meditation she was introduced.
Hinduism was not enough. So she studied Buddhism.
Buddhism is simply a branch of Hinduism, what Hindus call Raja Yoga, meditation where she experienced herself as part of universal mind, Nirvana.
Buddha, apparently, after meditating for twenty eight days, during which he was tempted by Mara, Satan, with the things of this world, including sex and he rejected all of them, for, as Jesus said, man does not live by bread alone, attained this state.
Thereafter Gautama Buddha taught his followers that to live is to desire to live as a separated ego self, the pursuit of separation leads to suffering and the need to give up that desire to reduce suffering and to approach the things of this world with detachment.
Buddhism, established in Northern India, 2500 years ago, appeals to the intellect; it does not have an elaborate theology the study of which would detain one for years.
Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism, the two branches of Buddhism, differ in their approaches; one stresses meditation and the other stresses praying.
Buddhism was not enough for me so the search took me to elsewhere.
Beyonce further explored Zen and Taoism and other oriental religions.
And she did not like its idea of escaping this world. Beyonce has a solid background in Christianity so she really could not escape to the negation of the phenomenal world prescribed by all oriental religions.
Bad as this world is she does not want to escape from it. She wants to understand it through science and improve it for all of us.
Out of curiosity I picked up the Koran and read it.
Beyonce says: “The education that I received over the course of these nine years of intense studies is equivalent to a PhD in Psychology, Religion and Philosophy.
By nature, I am stoic, but formerly I am an existential philosopher and existential psychologist.
Stoicism says that life is what it is, ugly, so, do not cry over it. Do not decorate the world with morals and go on pretending that what is ugly is beautiful. The milk is spilled. Do not cry over spilled milk. Do not worry about it, either. Relax, admire the roses and smell them for good aroma and vitality.
I am a student of stoic philosopher Horace who lived in the time of Emperor Caesar Augustus during the Era of the Pax Romana.
Horace taught Carpe diem, seize the day, love for pleasure, do what you can do today to seize all the pleasure and the fun for tomorrow we all will die, so why worry about tomorrow or death, do your best today derive and suck maximum pleasure from life.
Carpe diem, is a Latin concept meaning “pluck the day” or “seize the day”.
Carpe Diem: seize the day, do what you can today, do not postpone anything to tomorrow, live well today, for tomorrow you will die!). Life is too short
Stoicism was the major Greek and Roman philosophy. Stoicism was a befitting philosophy for Romans, for those folks were brutal folks. They spent most of their time at war, killing and getting killed and entertained themselves by watching gladiators killing themselves. You must be brutal to live in the Roman world.
During the times of the Roman Empire, the era of Julius Caesar, it was either you kill, or you got killed; someone threw you into a den of lions and tigers and you fought your way out or got eaten by the predatory animals and people laugh about it.
Epictetus tells us to harden our minds.
Epictetus was a Greek stoic philosopher. Despite been a slave, made the most of his life; he established a school and folks from all over the ancient world came to his school to study philosophy.
In old age he quit his school to take care of orphan children.
Yet, another stoic philosopher who impressed me early on in my life was Epicurus.
Epicureanism argued that pleasure was the chief good in life. Hence, Epicurus advocated living in such a way as to derive the greatest amount of pleasure possible during one's lifetime.
Seneca, Cicero, Marcus Aurelius, Pliny, and the other Roman thinkers and literary writers such as Virgil (see his Aeneid), were stoics. They had what today we would call tough mindedness. They did not allow spilling of blood, rotten and stinking human bodies, death and dying to prevent them from eating good food.
In the modern days America is a jungle without morality; the powerful survive at the expense of the weak; that is the way.
Albert Ellis’ Cognitive Behavior Therapy, building on the Roman stoic philosopher, Epictetus, tell people to desist from seeking other people’s attention, to not judge their selves with the parameters of what they think that other people would approve in them; other people are not responsible for one’s survival; only one is responsible for one’s survival; other people’s opinion of one is superfluous.
Only a fool worries about what other people think or say about him! I would be a fool to concern myself with the opinion an illiterate Igbo man has of me.
A healthy person, Dr. Ellis writes, should not even for a second consider what other people think of him but should only consider what is the right behavior, as he understands it, and does it.
He said, now knowing that what matters is me accepting me and not whether other people accept or reject me, how do you think I would behave? I would be assertive, that is, say what is in my mind, and not be deterred whether other people liked me or not. In the past, I would be preoccupied with seeking social approval.
As long as one is afraid of social rejection, one would conform to the group and the group’s leaders, usually sociopath would control one.
Albert Ellis advocated the importance of accepting yourself just because you are alive, human, and unique - and not giving yourself a global rating, or being influenced by what others think of you.
Albert Ellis pointed pointed out in his Rational Emotional Therapy, that adults can survive with or without other people’s acceptance.
Ellis advocated the importance of accepting yourself just because you are alive, human, and unique - and not giving yourself a global rating, or being influenced by what others think of you.
As Carl Rogers (Client Centered Therapy) pointed out, a mentally healthy person accepts his self and other selves in an unconditionally positive manner.
CHAPTER THREE
WHAT WE ARE ESSENTIALLY
Our bodies, animals’ bodies, plants, planets, asteroids, comets, stars, and everything in the universe is made of light but is now in the form of matter.
Matter is disguised light but disguised or not is still light. Your body is disguised light but is still light.
Everything is light. We are light dancing in matter forms. Where we see matter is light.
Look at your body, your house, the walls in your house, the table you are typing on, the computer that you are typing into, they are all made of light. Everything is made of light, albeit disguised.
We need to use science to understand it, go to exoplanets in our galaxy and thereafter to other galaxies and in time tunnel our way to other universes in the infinite universes there are.
See light as love, love all people, and forgive those who wronged us. Love all people and forgive all people.
Practice love, forgiveness and correction of our bad behaviors and see if you would not see you in a light form and eventually know yourself as formless part of formless life.
Our thinking is done through light energy, literally not figuratively. Light travels at the speed of 186, 282 miles per second (and has limitless speed at the spiritual level). This means that when you are thinking with light that light travels out of your brain and reaches its environment. Given the speed of light, your thinking at this very moment has circled the earth several times within a second.
It means that your thinking, light is reaching every person, animals, trees and everything on planet earth and elsewhere in the universe. Your thoughts reach all people and things, instantaneously!
As your thinking, light energy, reaches other people those who want to experience what you want to experience are drawn to you.
You attract to you those whose thinking is in sync with your desires and you are attracted to those whose desires, thinking's are in sync with yours.
Our thinking, desires and beliefs attract to us those who enable us to experience what we want to experience.
If we have hate based thoughts we attract those who will make us feel hatred.
On the positive side, if we want to experience pleasure we attract to us those who would enable us have pleasure; if we wish wealth we will attract to us those who would enable us have wealth. Our thoughts attract to us folks and things to enable us realize them.
Our thoughts literally attract to us whatever happens to us
If one thinks about positive things like having friends one will attract those who want to be friendly to one.
In the nature of things, negative thoughts will pass through your mind, for you are human and have the whole range of thoughts that human beings are prone to.
Now resolve to pay attention only to positive thoughts. Tell yourself that you are one, the same and coequal with all human beings, man and women, black and white; do not ever entertain the idea that there are differences between the races or genders; accept that all people are parts of one light energy, which if you are inclined to religion you can call unified spirit or God.
It is a fact that there is a wave of spiritual light in the universe and that we are all particles of it.
See you as part of all people and things and, as such, accept that what you do to other people you do to parts of your whole self; resolve to love all people and in doing so love your whole self.
To live in our world requires material things; tell yourself that you deserve wealth and work for wealth and you will attract to you those who would enable you to obtain the level of wealth you desire. If you desire trillions, billions and millions of dollars and work for them you will get them.
There is no law that limits what you can get out of life; it is only your mind, thinking and beliefs that determine your level of abundance.
The universe is neutral; it allows us to attract to us what we desire and work for
Everything we see in our world is the product of our minds and thinking.
CHAPTER FOUR
A HERO WITH A THOUSAND FACES
Joseph Campbell pointed out in his numerous books, especially the "Hero with a thousand Faces" and "The Power of Myth" human beings are at a cross roads; they have come to live together from all corners of the world; their inherited cultures are now archaic and outdated and cannot give their lives meaning and purpose; they need a new modes of living, one that combines science and mythology is what would satisfy their craving for meaning.
The most evolved people know that are all connected at the deepest level. They know that when you hurt another person, you are really hurting yourself. They know when you help another person, you are really helping yourself.
God created us as extensions of him; he is in us, and we are in him; we cannot separate from him; we are ideas in God’s mind; ideas leave not their source.
As God created us, in him, we are always perfect, joined, enlightened, and illuminated. While in that state of spiritual perfection and illumination we pretend to be separated from God hence imperfect.
We are perfect and enlightened in spirit but imperfect and unenlightened.
Beyonce Mass is the new form of religion of the here and now. How can we live better lives and joyfully. Great psychologists like Carl Rogers, Erich Fromm, Abraham Maslow, and Ronald Laing there is no God that asks people to be good or bad but the environment that people are born in determines their behaviors; therefore, all we need to do is improve people’s environment and they become good.
Thomas Hobbes (1651, Leviathan) was correct in his view that in the state of nature people are self-centered and in pursuit of selfish interests do kill each other and life was nasty, brutish, and short.
Beyonce Mass seeks to make this world and its people are loving and beautiful and peaceful. The Beyonce Mass aspires to re-create the Garden of Eden. In the here and now, with explosion in technological tools to solve our problems and with psychological breakthroughs we can heal and live long lives without stress and depression.
One way to solve the problem of death is for us to use science and technology to develop robots, develop artificial indigence, and program it into those robots.
In time we should be able to construct self-replicating robots and use them to replace human beings in bodies.
An additional advantage of having sentient robots is that we can use them (we can program our minds into them) to do interplanetary, interstellar, and intergalactic travels.
Robots can live in starships and travel for years to reach other planets in our solar system and in other star systems (exoplanets). We simply must replace ourselves with robots if we are to be able to explore the universe.
I suspect that a breed of intelligent beings, us, constructed our bodies through evolution and currently use those bodies to live in space, time, and matter; what we did in the past we can do in the present, construct bodies made of robots.
Although robots made of metals may eventually become junk and are junked at robots’ junk yards; they can be programmed to live thousands of years and their aging parts replaced.
The Beyonce religion is a wonderful religion for all.
The entire universe is a field of universal intelligence.
Intelligence is everywhere. Each of us is a unit of universal intelligence. We can download each person’s intelligence into a robot, and he lives through that robot.
Through robots we can defeat our bodies built in obsolesce, death. People are seeking ways to live forever and ever in bodies; that is what their religions promise them, eternal life.
Science can enable people to achieve immortality through living in robots. Science and technology thus may enable people to accomplish what they wanted to accomplish through religion and religion failed to give it to them. We must use science and technology to replace our primitive religions and thus finally attain immortality in some sort of bodies.
Religion is a product of human society and is dynamic and forever evolving and keep changing and adapting to reflect new emerging environments.
Today’s religion is from yesterday’s adaptation to the physical and social environment hence is already dated and ought to be updated with information from our current experiences.
During the times of Christ, the pharisees and the Sadducees were leaders of the Jewish nation who kept adapting the laws of Moses to new environments. When Saint Paul headed with Christianity appealing to new different people he adapted Christianity.
A new cool religion is being born, and contrary to views out there, this has got nothing to do with the worship of a person.
This is about the creation of a new religion, a new change for the modern person.
The eventual Descent of a Female God, Order out of Chaos, and Progress Out of Chaos.
The End of the Road for the fighting male, his conquest of the Earth as in his conquest of other fighting males, both brute and human, has borne the greater heat and burden of the day.
Women plied a simple, agriculture, practiced a primary healing art, and evolved The Humanities.
Feminism and hard-core Feminism knew that the struggle for women liberation was not so much about equality, but the return of the scepter of Government to the women. Meaning there must be revolution.
Diana is goddess in Roman and Hellenistic religion, primarily considered a patroness of the countryside, hunters, crossroads, and the Moon.
Known as the Great Mother or Magna Mater, Cybele, whose chief sanctuary was at Pessinus, was one of the early female deities, first appearing in the province of Lydia as a goddess of the mountains.
Arriving from Phrygia, she made her initial appearance in Greece in the 5th century BCE with a temple in Athens (the Metroum); the Greeks identified her with the goddess Rhea (mother of the Olympians) and Demeter (goddess of the harvest).
Isis is an ancient Egyptian goddess who became the most popular and enduring of all the Egyptian deities. Her name comes from the Egyptian Eset, ("the seat") which referred to her stability and also the throne of Egypt as she was considered the mother of every pharaoh.
When the golden gates of the 21st century open for us to enter in the year 2000 we were beaming with the psychological healing that has been done in the 20th century. Much effort, indeed, it seemed that we suspended everything in the 20th century to focus on correcting the deep wrong that humanity did through our history. That corrective work was in raising up and healing the female psyche that was brutalized and made to be secondary to the male.
But that was only half of the job. Yes, the equality of the sexes was just half of the job. Because in the origin, the woman was Deity and received honors of Deity, which is worship.
Man with all the external power, he is still becoming weak in front of the female beauty and the seductive powers of the woman body. Man do all he does in the world. He exercises his power for one sole objective of pleasing the woman. Pleasing is the act of worship.
What I have stated above represent the theology of Beyonce religion that is rapidly exploiting in the Los Angeles area, the rest of America, in Africa, England, France and the Netherlands.
Initially, I thought Lady Gaga was the goddess that will lead this world and return us back to our common era where woman were the rulers, not through external power, but through live, sensuality and the power of seduction as manifest in beauty of the female body.
I was mistaken and wrong. And I can see the reason why Lady Gaga was not going to be that woman.
The problem with Lady Gaga is that she tries to bring the strong male energy into her beings. Male energy is external power, and all external power is false.
Beyonce is the very opposite of Lady Gaga, she represents strong Feminity and strong beauty, her softness, her coolness, her gentleness are the scepter of rule.
No wonder that Beyonce character as a global icon has beyond admiration to religion.
As we enter the Bell Air Beyonce Mass Church empire, the goddess (if we may so call her) stands before us erect in queenly dignity.
Her dress is falling down leaving the upper body entirely uncovered, and yet in spite of the nudity of the figure we are struck with its unparalleled purity and nobility of expression of Our Blessed Lady Beyonce.
Beyonce Mass seeks to bring harmony in your internal thoughts in the midst of the complex, chaotic and unloving modern world.
In terms of the tenets of the Beyonce Mass, no one is to judge you. You construct your own morality, and you live with it, so long at it aimed at the chief goal of your life; the pursuit of happiness.
I have made presentations to a variety of groups across America, from swinging clubs to Christian churches to business clubs. As we are one human race, we are also diverse and different in our lifestyle we adopt through life.
I will say that we are more different than we are the same. Some are gay, some are not gay. Some are farmers preferring the fresh open sky, and some are city dwellers cocooned in a high rise apartment somewhere here in Los Angeles or New York, Dubai or South Africa.
There is too much emphasizes how that human beings are one and same. We are getting it backward.
The opposite should be emphasis, how that human beings are very different and have different lifestyles, different orientation to life, different sex lives and so on and so on. If this is affirmed and acknowledged then there will be peace on earth.
The Beyonce Mass is the idea of the appreciation of the diversity found in human beings. You come to the Beyonce temple with your religion and your lifestyle, no matter what it is; you are loved as you are, no one desires to change you.
That is freedom.
Some attributes the Beyonce religion to Bahaullah, Iran and Iraq. Certainly, Bahaullah played a very significant role; but these are not his ideas.
What Bahaullah did was to understand this idea and then develop zeal to refuse to abandon them even subjected to prison and great persecution.
You too should do the same; your personal life is your personal space; they lifestyle that you adopt that is what it is, and you should develop zeal to fight what you believe in. It is as simple as that.
To be admired and respected you should not be a coward. Nobody in this world loves and respect slaves simply because slaves are cowards, they want to live and will do anything to live.
Instead of the slave fighting and dying if needs be, he or she allows to be taken and he becomes meek and used, and he accepts that kind of life. In this world if you are not careful you will become the slave of some people; they will drag you from the things you prefer and say that is wrong and from hence forth you are a complete slave.
Instead of fighting and standing on your grounds and what lifestyle you live, you are taken and controlled.
For example, there should be no fault and guilt for people who prefer a swinging life and form swinging clubs.
In the same way that there should be no qualms with people who live a polyamorous life. A polyamorous life is when group of men and women love each other and then they form a family as a group sharing a large bedroom and having kids of diverse nature.
This is a new world. We must affirm people and promote and cultivate that kind of free spirit for experimentation and diversity.
To be able to life free is the genesis of living fulfilled lives, and a fulfilled life is a life of health and wellness.
Stress and depression come into the picture because people find life to be sad and beating on them. A free person can never have depression. He is overly happy, and he explores life like an eagle exploring the vast blue sky at ease.
The Beyonce religion says we can use our intelligence to counter death and become young again.
Think of the Beyonce as a picnic where people all over the world come together, each come with his or her own food and drink. All come together and enjoy each other's cooking, drinks and ideas. It us a great feeling.
To cope with the exigencies of a multicultural world, we all have to learn to understand each other’s cultures; additionally, we have to learn to feel comfortable around each other.
Whether we like it or not, a universal human being is emerging. Even the color of that human being would be different from the skin colors of present human beings. If you use the computer to simulate what the future man would look like, mix all the colors of the peoples of the world, what would emerge is a brown race, like contemporary Brazilians.
Brown is the future of mankind. The future world is one people with one culture and we might as well deal with that fact and stop wasting every ones time by fighting the inevitable.
What is contained in the Beyonce idea, ideas scattered throughout thousands of volumes embodying the Scriptures of the great Asiatic and early European religions, hidden under glyph and symbol, and hitherto left unnoticed because of this veil.
What is now attempted is to gather the oldest tenets together and to make of them one harmonious and unbroken whole.
That means, when you affirm the Beyonce religion you are affirming your heritage.
The reason why what may be called the Beyonce idea is rising up as a universal system is because that it functions first like Google search engine and second like Wikipedia universal people’s encyclopedia.
As Google, in it you can make a search of all the ideas and knowledge that has been produced since the dawn of time.
As Wikipedia you can inject new ideas to it or refine and modify what is there for your own tastes
Beyonce combines within itself some of the characteristics of philosophy, religion and science.
It neither demands belief from people, nor does it even speak of belief in the sense in which that word is usually employed in other religions.
Secondly, Beyonce never endeavors to convert any man from whatever religion he already holds. On the contrary, it explains his or her religion to him or her, and enables the person to see in it deeper meanings than he/she has ever known before.
It teaches humanity to understand it and live it better than he/she did, and in many cases it gives back to him/she, on a higher and more intelligent level, the faith in it which he had previously all but lost.
Where things are joined, are the same and equal there must be permanency (change exists where there is separation) and peace and happiness. In God there is permanency, changelessness, eternity, immortality, all knowingness, peace and happiness.
Our true self, unified spirit self and its unified mind is the mind we share with God. On earth we are not aware of the unified self and unified mind.
The unified self experienced in what Hinduism calls Samadhi, Buddhism calls Nirvana, Zen calls Satori and Christianity calls the City of God; it is experienced when one lets go of identification with the separated self, the ego mind, and returns to the awareness of our real self.
No one can love other persons who does not love himself or herself.
CHAPTER FIVE
RELATING TO OTHER PEOPLE
You must understand that all of us, human beings have psychological issues.
There is no such thing as a totally psychologically healthy person just as there is no such thing as a physically, medically healthy person.
Each person is a mix of health and no health and such is life. You cannot expect anyone to be ideally psychologically healthy, to do so is unrealistic and childish on your part.
People do change but you would be surprised at what makes them change.
It is not seeing psychotherapists (psychiatrists and psychologists) that make people change their problematic behavior patterns. It is love that makes people change.
Give those around you unconditionally positive love; accept people as they are and do not talk about their issues or predicate your acceptance of them on their becoming perfect persons and they would begin to thrive.
Love is what heals people, so keep quiet when your ego is tempted to talk about people’s issues, even if those issues are real and every person can see them.
In case you have forgotten or not heard it said before let me reiterate: do not say anything negative about people. People are narcissistic, vain and proud and want to be admired; they resent it if you say anything that denigrates them.
People will not forgive you if you said something negative about them. They may smile at you if you said nasty things about them, but bid their time while looking for an opportunity to bring you down and they will bring you down; they would feel satisfied when they take you down.
Do not say anything bad about people’s politics (ideologies), religion, etc.).
Do not say anything negative about people’s tastes in clothes and food. Simply keep quiet about people’s tastes and let them be.
It takes maturity and wisdom to accept that each human being is exactly who he must be and is doing exactly what he came to the world to do, what he wants to do (or is doing nothing because he wants to do nothing); there are no accidents in our lives.
If you really want to be safe with people primarily talk with them about objective matters. As far as we know what we can safely see as objective is matter, energy, space and time, the realm of science. Talk to people about science, about what we can mutually observe and experiment on and verify as there and there would be less quarrels between you and people.
If you stray to talking about subjects where opinions differ you risk social cleavages. If you talk about religion, for example, be ready to have those who do not agree with you want to chop off your head. Men are passionate about their religions even though they do not have any shred of evidence that any of their gods are real.
Changing your life is not easy. Force yourself out of the comfort zone. Taking steps to push out the boundaries of your personal experiences will bring strength.
You naturally move towards whatever ideas or thoughts that dominate your life.
So always ensure that you let off the pressure of the world out of your thoughts and remain positive and calm.
Jesus Christ taught his followers to forgive those who wronged them.
A forgiving mind is a peaceful and happy mind. An unforgiving mind that bears grudges, grievances and seeks vengeance is always lacking in peace and joy; thus, to forgive is good for the person doing the forgiving.
However, it is not enough to just forgive. To forgive is to overlook the wrong someone did to one. If you overlook a person’s error, since people tend to have a pattern of behavior, he will repeat that wrong to one or to other people.
If a person is a criminal or liar, it is not enough to forgive him when he stole something or told a lie. One must tell that person why we must not steal from other people or lie.
We must not correct other people’s behavior from anger and hate, we must correct our mutual antisocial behaviors with love. Love is when you love a person and still insist that he does the right thing.
One should prefer to die than to live like a cow, a coward. Forgive and insist on the person you are forgiving to correct his behavior.
You cannot correct other people’s behaviors for them; the only person whose behaviors you can change, if at all, is yours.
Forgive and correct forgiven behavior is a better definition of forgiveness.
One should forgive our wrongs but point out the need to correct our wrongs, not before we forgive the wrong doer but as instruction for an individual to not go about engaging in antisocial behaviors. It is a social duty for each of us to speak and behave pro-socially, not antisocially; that is how good societies function.
The best music of the twentieth century undoubtedly came from the USA; in fact, in the world of music I doubt that any other country can compete with Americans. And the segment of Americans that initiated this wonderful music are the most discriminated against, African Americans.
African Americans music has revolutionized music all over the world; indeed, apart from strictly European classical music (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Handle, Haydn; those, too, were composed in a Europe where the few dominated and oppressed the masses) the world has not been more blessed by music than by African American gospel music (aka Negro Spirituals), African American Jazz, African American Rhythm and Blues, African American Hip-Hop and other musical genres.
When people, all over the world, talk about American culture what they mean is the contribution to American culture by African Americans.
Of course, white America does contribute to other aspects of world culture; for example, white Americans have contributed tremendously to technology and applied science ingeneral…telegraph, telephones, cars, radio, television, computers, internet etc. were mostly American gifts to the world (not so much to pure science, which was the domain of Europeans) and for that the entire world is grateful to America.
Until recently, most people did not even know about other people, Africans, for example, had no contacts with Europeans and Asians.
People lived in particular parts of the world and adapted to the exigencies of their world. They evolved particularistic cultures that enabled them to cope with the demands of their world.
Improvements in transportation and communication technologies have made it now possible for individuals to travel all over the world.
The individual can be in three or four continents in as many days.
This observer has been in North America, flown to Europe and then Africa, all within two days. This means that the cultures of the world are now in close contact.
Proximity leads to cultural diffusion, which is taking place at a greater speed than at any other time in human history.
In the future, it is clear that there will emerge a universal culture that is not anything like today’s particularistic cultures.
The United States of America is already a veritable United Nations with folks from all over the world living in it, their cultures mixing into a universalistic culture.
The diversity of America is her strength and if that diversity is meld into one universal American culture, rather than encourage folks to live in their particular enclaves, the United States will remain the greatest nation on planet earth, at least for the foreseeable future.
Homogeneous societies like China cannot compete with heterogeneous societies like the United States of America. If racism ends in America and the country fully utilizes the talents of all her peoples, no country on earth can compete with her.
If China, the much-lauded empire of the twenty first century, wants to rival America’s economic and cultural strength, it has to go to Africa and import millions of Africans to give its culture the dynamism Africans have given to the Americas.
Just think of what Africans have contributed to America’s culture, music, for example.
Can Russia compete with America in the world of popular music? If and when America finally incorporated African Americans into its mainstream and stops discriminating and marginalizing them it would unleash talents that would make it second to none in the world. No one else can compete with diverse America.
DATING PREPARATION
Dating is a great golden opportunity of our lifetimes. There is no need to be tense about it or worried. You need to be just yourself.
If the dating emanates from Tinder App or some of the most effective online platforms then it means that you already know each other and have, in some way approved each other.
Better still when you know each other in person for long, particularly as school mates or through friends or family, well that is a whole lot better.
What you need is to be empowered. You cannot be assured of yourself if you are not empowered with knowledge and understanding.
Nonetheless, rest assured the person you are dating or going on date with has already evaluated you both practically and theoretically. Practically by observing you are you walk, as you talk, your choices, your smiles.
He or she has securitized you. He or she has probably, desperately tried hard to Google you, refining his or her search to find up some deep snippet laying deep Google.
He or she has made assessment of your mother your father. He or she has done these things behind you and under cover. If he or she if is very serious about you has done that.
So, you just have to relax. There is no need to see a psychotherapist how to change your personality. Doing that will be creating a split personality and that is a recipe for doom.
At the general just be aware. I will not go into the technicalities in assisting you in this effort. For to do that is to make you tense and anxious.
What you need is just relaxation. Have you went to a massage? At the massage table, you are told to relax and let go, just go on a limp.
So I will just provide you with the general principles of life drawn from sociology and psychology.
Do not criticize people for it makes them feel small and they would deny doing what you said they did and instead stop doing anything and literally become defensive.
It is human nature to want to appearing good even though we know we have faults. The person you are relating to know that you have faults but that should not be vcalised in a direct manner.
In other words do not call a spade a spade. It is childish to be direct and practical. True adults raise the conversation to the philosophical and psychological level.
Mental health lies in seeing all people, as divine (albeit the imperfections) and respecting and loving them as one loves and respects ones self.
There are always positive aspects of a person that you can elevate above the imperfections.
This is one of the mysteries of human lives, that out of evil comes good.
This is one reason why we cannot write off human beings; despite their proclivity to evil, we must continually strive to improve them.
Appeal to peoples noble aspects, to their higher, not baser nature; people like to feel like they are godlike, so appeal to that aspect of them; it makes them feel important.
If the person you are dating is a garbage collector, make him feel important.
Garbage collectors are responsible for public health; if they did not pick up garbage, we would all die from diseases so let garbage collectors know that they are as important as the doctors who heal people when they already become sick.
The preventers of sickness arguably are more important than the healers of illness.
CHAPTER FIVE
RELATIONSHIPS AND MARIIAGE
Marriages are battlefields, I tell you from personal experience. These supposedly happy relationships are anger making; your partner can drive you up the wall.
Special love relationships are filled with anxiety, depression, paranoia, and other mental disorders.
Every person wants to feel that his ideas matter more than other persons ideas, so let people’s ideas prevail; let people win the battle even if they eventually lose the war.
If you disagree with them do not harp on it, just agree with them and tell them that you have your doubts and want to think about the matter some more but never cavalierly dismiss folks ideas on anything that infuriates them.
Since what people are doing is seeking importance then do not criticize them or put them down; always appreciate them for that makes them feel important.
People want you to give them what they want. They do not want to talk about what you want but what they want. That is to say human beings are inherently selfish.
You are in this dating business not for anything else, it is about yourself and you are assessing the situation through self interests not the community or the other person.
People do not care for you or want to talk about your problems; they care for themselves and want you to talk about their issues, not yours so show them how to deal with their issues and they will appreciate you and love you, open themselves up to you wholly and then start the journey towards both of you being one as soul mates.
Become deeply interested in people and take am extra mile to care and love them and they would love you back. However, if you are not interested or you are just faking it, people will reciprocate that in kind. What you throw out to other people comes back.
People like those who smile and are cheerful so always smile and be cheerful around people and they would like you; if you are depressed and sour people will flee from you (they do not want to know why you are sad and unhappy; they just want you to smile); the receptionist or telephone girl who smiles at customers retains them whereas the one that does not do so repulses customers and her employer loses customers and must fire her to be in business, to sell his goods and services.
People are vain and proud, they cherish their names so always remember people’s names; if you forget their names they would not care for you at all.
People want you to listen to their issues but do not want you to do the talking; so listen to them and encourage them to talk but do not talk about yourself.
Find out what other people are interested in and when talking to them talk about their interests, not your interests for they do not want to know anything about your interests and troubles.
Make other people feel important and do it sincerely, not as if you are flattering them and they would like you and you can then influence them.
Avoid arguing with other folks for arguing is meant to prove that you are right and the other person wrong; you want to win and the other person lose; if you win and he loses he has lost face and feels challenged to prove you wrong; therefore, you do not win.
Acknowledge the point of view of the other guy and avoid arguing with him even if you know that you are correct; that way he saves face and retains his dignity and sense of importance; people want to feel important and without it they would feel no energy to do anything else so allow them to feel important; it is pursuit of importance that produces human civilization; without it we are mere animals.
People want to be respected; therefore, show them that you respect them; if people feel disrespected by you even if what you are saying makes sense they would become defensive and attack you. People go to wars when they feel disrespected by other folks.
Never, never disrespect folks!
Nobody wants to admit that he is wrong; if folks make mistakes and you point out their mistakes, they feel that you have put them down, attacked their dignity; so be the one who acknowledges your mistakes and do not argue with the other person even if he is wrong.
It takes courage to say that you made a mistake (or say correct me if I am wrong).
Always let people know that you are a friend, not their enemy; in whatever you say to people get them to see that you genuinely care for them. Even those who are overtly hostile to you really want to be your friend so begin all conversations and relationships by letting folks know that you care for them.
If you want the other person to agree with you the best way to go about it is give suggestions and let him take credit for what he eventually accepts as what he needs to do. No one wants other people to tell him what to do so do not tell people what to do, make suggestions and let them decide what to do and their yes would eventually be what your yes all along is.
If people are complaining about you, your action or about the product or services you sold to them hear them out; do not argue with them trying to prove that you are right and they wrong; just patiently listen to their complaint and understand them.
People feel that no one listens to them or understand them so always listen to people; do not talk too much; do not give your opinions, just listen; let other people do most of the talking and feel that they made the decisions. (I have not learned this lesson for I am motivated to tell people what I feel but seldom listen to them.)
