Think of the Bahai as a picnic where people all over the world come together, each come with his or her own food and drink. All come together and enjoy each other's cooking, drinks and ideas. It us a great feeling.
To cope with the exigencies of a multicultural world, we all have to learn to understand each other’s cultures; additionally, we have to learn to feel comfortable around each other.
Whether we like it or not, a universal human being is emerging. Even the color of that human being would be different from the skin colors of present human beings. If you use the computer to simulate what the future man would look like, mix all the colors of the peoples of the world, what would emerge is a brown race, like contemporary Brazilians.
Brown is the future of mankind. The future world is one people with one culture and we might as well deal with that fact and stop wasting every ones time by fighting the inevitable.
What is contained in the Bahai idea, ideas scattered throughout thousands of volumes embodying the Scriptures of the great Asiatic and early European religions, hidden under glyph and symbol, and hitherto left unnoticed because of this veil. What is now attempted is to gather the oldest tenets together and to make of them one harmonious and unbroken whole.
That means, when you affirm the Bahai religion you are affirming your heritage.
The reason why what may be called the Bahai idea is rising up as a universal system is because that it functions first like Google search engine and second like Wikipedia universal people’s encyclopedia. As Google, in it you can make a search of all the ideas and knowledge that has been produced since the dawn of time. As Wikipedia you can inject new ideas to it or refine and modify what is there for your own tastes
Bahai combines within itself some of the characteristics of philosophy, religion and science.
It neither demands belief from people, nor does it even speak of belief in the sense in which that word is usually employed in other religions.
Secondly, Bahai never endeavours to convert any man from whatever religion he already holds. On the contrary, it explains his or her religion to him or her, and enables the person to see in it deeper meanings than he/she has ever known before. It teaches humanity to understand it and live it better than he/she did, and in many cases it gives back to him/she, on a higher and more intelligent level, the faith in it which he had previously all but lost.
In essence the Bahai universal idea is that here in our world there is a great Official who represents the Solar Deity and is in absolute control of all the evolution that takes place upon this planet. We may image Him as the true KING of this world and under Him are ministers in charge of different departments. One of these departments is concerned with the evolution of the different races of humanity so that for each great race there is a Head who founds it, differentiates it from all others, and watches over its development. Another department is that of religion and education, and it is from this that all the greatest teachers of history have come—that all religions have been sent forth. The great Official at the head of this department either comes Himself or sends one of His pupils to found a new religion when He decides that one is needed.
Therefore all religions, at the time of their first presentation to the world, have contained a definite statement of the Truth, and in its fundamentals this Truth has been always the same. The presentations of it have varied because of differences in the races to whom it was offered. The conditions of civilization and the degree of evolution obtained by various races have made it desirable to present this one Truth in divers forms. But the inner Truth is always the same, and the source from which it comes is the same, even though the external phases may appear to be different and even contradictory. It is foolish for men to wrangle over the question of the superiority of one teacher or one form of teaching to another, for the teacher is always one sent by the Great Brotherhood of Adepts, and in all its important points, in its ethical and moral principles, the teaching has always been the same.
Bahai religion posit that people are born naturally good but their early childhood influences may enhance their good nature or cause them to become bad (they do not use the words evil and wickedness).
The environment that people are born in determines their behaviors; therefore, all we need to do is improve people’s environment and they become good.
The Bahai idea of one universal religion incorporating all religions is rapidly growing fast like wild bush fire. The number of those who appreciates the Bahai idea in the United States is about a million. Universally across the world there is representation of the Bahai idea in each country of the world.
According to the Bible, the universal kingdom of Nebuchanezzer is the earliest modern world that let to the dawn of Jesus Christ here on earth, and from there humanity will be bonded together, universally. After the demise of Nebuchanezzer the world and human beings got divided with each group of human being having their own systems of living and worship. This was the time of the Medes and the Persians. Then Alexander the Great rose up, and attempted to unify the world but failed. He died young.
Then came the Roman Empire. The Romans were concerned more with conquests, domination and entertainment festivals than the idea of binding all humanity at the soul level.
No wonder, the Roman Emperor crumbled under Christianity, with its deep appeal for the human soul.
When Nebuchanezzer took control of Israel, he appreciated the Jewish religion and kept in his royal headquarters Jewish young leaders Shadrack, Meshack, Abednego and Daniel.
The Bahai religion is the open religion for the new world. The Bahai religion is not relative and particular to one group of people hence it is applicable and suitable to the new world where all the races of humankind are woven together living side by side. The Bahai religion says we are one human race. The Bahai religion has its roots during the times of Nebuchanezzer, the King of Persia who ruled the world. That time people had one religion and lived in relative peace on with each other.
What follows is a presentation that I have made in a Bahai temples in Chicago with regards to the the future as it will be ruled by women. As I have already indicated at the beginning of this book, that the Bahai religion functions both like Google search engine and Wikipedia. As Google it is in itself a huge factory of knowledge as produced by human beings since the dawn of time. As Wikipedia, you as an individual, as one part of intelligent force, you can add new knowledge within it, or adapt it or refocus ad you like, for yourself and for others.
